Ever wish you would have started yoga and the quest for a healthy body image at a young age? Looking for a way to get your child involved in a safe and healthy environment? Keep reading!

My desire to earn extra cash babysitting as a teen quickly turned into a desire to learn as much as I could about childhood development. I devoured all the research I could on how kids learn, grow, and play, and in 2011 I turned my passion into an official degree, graduating summa cum laude from Kennesaw State University with a degree in Early Childhood Education. In 2012 I took a job working at Mary Lin Elementary in Candler Park, Atlanta. I spent several enjoyable years teaching there before taking a job as a math teacher at Inman Middle School. Working in the Atlanta Public School system was challenging and rewarding and I loved (just about) every minute I spent interacting with my amazing students. But, I knew teaching fractions to fight graders wasn’t really scratching my itch to make an impact in the lives of young adults. Math felt important, but not as important as teaching confidence, balance, strength, and community. So in 2016 I retired from Atlanta Public Schools, and took a part-time preschool teaching job to make more space in my schedule for spreading health and wellness in the community. I’m so excited to get the youth in Atlanta excited about wellness and help them build positive habits that will last a lifetime.
